The Awards Subcommittee is responsible for recognizing and celebrating excellence in project management and construction through the annual SAICE PMCD Constructor’s Award and the SAICE PMCD Young Constructor’s Award.
This subcommittee designs award categories, develops clear criteria and guidelines, and oversees the nomination process by issuing calls for nominations, managing submissions, and assembling an expert evaluation panel. It organizes the awards ceremony, handling event logistics, and promoting the event to ensure broad participation. Additionally, it coordinates the presentation of awards, publicizes the achievements of recipients, and works closely with other PMCD subcommittees and external partners to enhance the credibility and reach of the awards program.
The subcommittee gathers feedback to assess the program’s success and regularly reviews and updates the awards categories, criteria, and processes to reflect industry advancements. Financial management is also a key responsibility, involving budget development and securing sponsorships to support the awards program. The mandate of the subcommittee is to recognize excellence, promote high standards, raise awareness of the PMCD’s commitment to excellence, foster collaboration, ensure a fair evaluation process, and drive continuous improvement based on feedback and industry trends. By fulfilling these duties, the Awards Subcommittee plays a crucial role in promoting excellence within the project management and construction industry, supporting the overall mission of SAICE and the PMCD.
